I bought this CD to get 3 tracks: rock band Pseudo Echo's update of the classic late disco hit "Funkytown", which features heavy drums and fabulous guitar work; Bananarama's classic 80's dance hit "Venus"; and "Turn The Beat Around", Vicki Sue Robinson's early disco classic. Since this is a "sweat mix", most tracks are high energy, and that is certainly not a problem. There are some other memorable tracks. The KLF's "What Time Is Love" is pretty typical in that it features both rap and vocals, but the techno arrangement is dramatic and ominous. "Tribal Dance" by 2 Unlimited is another pretty typical dance-rap track, but it adds distinctive African percussion. The eternally young Britpop princess Kim Wilde contributes her cover of Yvonne Elliman's No. 1 hit "If I Can't Have You". The early Eurythmics hit "Sweet Dreams (Are Made Of This)" is here, and N-Trance uses the basic track of the Bee Gee's hit "Stayin' Alive" as the foundation for their track of rap and vocals. All in all, this CD is a good deal for anyone who likes dance music.I noticed that one reviewer (maybe more) expressed concern as to whether this is truly a "mix", since they found spaces between some of the tracks. I found VERY brief spaces between tracks 4 and 5, and between tracks 6 and 7. There seems to be a break between tracks 2 and 3, but I found that track 3 opens very quietly, so although there really isn't a break, technically the action does stop for a short period. However, I will admit that several of the transitions without breaks are pretty abrupt.
