These are the best bike-style running shorts I’ve ever worn. I usually wear cheaper shorts—I own several pairs of the Baleaf brand you can get on Amazon for a third of what these cost—but in the past I’ve also worn this style of running shorts from Brooks, Rabbit, Oiselle, and Janji. I’m a dedicated runner who trains several days per week and I’ve completed multiple ultramarathons. Long story short, I can’t recommend these highly enough. They beat everything else I’ve worn, mainly because the fabric and fit are perfect (plus the zip key pocket on the back is a nice touch). And one more thing about the fabric—it’s a fairly substantial weight (probably squat-proof, I’d imagine) and very very smooth. There’s virtually no possibility of chafing that I can discern, as far as the fabric and seaming are concerned. I am just so delighted with this. My biggest pet peeve about wearing bike-style shorts for running is the breathability factor and the fact that the seams on the legs/crotch can be uncomfortable. These shorts don’t have these issues—they are not made of the thick cottony-feeling fabric that for example my Oiselle bike shorts were, that was so hot to run in, nor do they have the thick rough seams that some cheaper shorts have. I think I’ll be buying more pairs in the future. :-)
